Marisa has lived in Wilmington for over twenty years. In 1995, she decided to move to Wilmington to be close to family and never looked back. She met her husband soon after moving to the area, and they married in 2001. Prior to entering the field of real estate, Marisa worked in both retail management and property management. Working as an Assistant Property Manager for Station One, she specialized in promoting short and long-term rentals. Marisa worked as an Area Sales Manager at Dillard’s department store in Wilmington, where she managed various departments and was promoted repeatedly.
 
Eventually, Marisa decided to change careers and earned a real estate license.  In 2005, she partnered with Gurrera & Associates as the teams’ first Buyer’s Agent Specialist. Heather and her family relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina from Southern California in 2017. She transferred her real estate license to North Carolina and partnered with the Gurrera & Associates team as a General Residential Agent in 2018. Since then, she has facilitated the purchase and sale of numerous single-family residential homes and investment properties - with an emphasis on interstate relocations and the purchase of vacation properties and second homes. Known for delivering extraordinary ‘white-glove’ customer service, her goal is to create a positive, stress-free experience for all parties involved.

Earning a California real estate license in 2004, Heather worked with the Willis Allen Real Estate company in Del Mar where she specialized in the sale and purchase of single-family homes with an emphasis on ocean-front vacation homes and high-end investment properties. Additionally, she worked for The Grand Del Mar Resort focusing on the sale of newly built multi-million-dollar residential properties and fractional sales of vacation homes. Heather spent a few years in Tuscany, Italy working for Monteverde Private Residence Club where she specialized in marketing and selling newly built luxury villas and fractional sales of resort properties. Prior to this, Heather worked for KB Homes in San Diego where she successfully facilitated the sale of 410 newly built custom homes.

The recipient of numerous awards, Heather was recognized as a KB Homes “Top Selling Agent” for outstanding Marketing and Sales performance in 2005 and was nominated for performance awards each quarter for five consecutive quarters between 2004 and 2005. In addition, our Social Media Manager develops brand awareness, engages users, boosts our company's online reputation, and drives quality leads for our sales team. 
 
Certified Transaction Coordinator manages the paperwork involved in the selling process and guides clients through each stage of the real estate transaction to ensure each closing is fast, efficient, and seamless.
 
Professional Photographer / Videographer showcases each property to highlight the unique interior and exterior attributes using the most modern tools and technology available today, including drone photography and 3D video tours.
 
Home Dimensional Floor Plan Measurement Service professionally measures and diagrams the floor plan for each property ensuring the most accurate square footage dimensions and floor plan for use on the MLS and marketing materials.
